[…] We receive a new heart to replace the heart of stone! When the 10 commandments were written on tablets of stone that is a reflection of a human heart of stone! When the Pharisees stoned people that was a reflection of their hearts which comes from the soul/spirit. They had hearts of stone. When Jesus wrote with His finger in the sand he was symbolically writing the law as He did on the tablets of stone for Moses. The Pharisees were legalistic as they followed Moses. The Pharisees representing the kingdom of this world and god of this world and Jesus’ side was the representation of the Kingdom of heaven in Jesus. Remember man was created from the dust of the earth! Old creation without the life of Christ Jesus. Jesus was telling them that they had NO PART in eternal life! They had crossed the line!
